After his earning a degree in electronic engineering, achieved with his friend and future partner Massimo Bonardi, Emidio Zorzella worked as a researcher and author of scientific papers in the field of 2D and 3D vision systems, including an international patent for the optical measurement of surface roughness. From an academic spin-off company co-founded in 1998, in the early 2000s he began cooperating with several companies to develop innovative visual inspection systems to ensure product safety in the pharmaceutical sector.
In 2007, Emidio and Massimo Bonardi founded Antares Vision, now a global provider of inspection and traceability solutions for the pharmaceutical industry and other sectors. Following a growth strategy that included mergers and acquisitions, Antares Vision became a Group, a technological partner to support companies and institutions in guaranteeing safety, quality, efficiency, and sustainability, enabling transparency to build trust: Trustparency®. By driving the digitalisation of products and supply chains, Antares Vision Group provides an integrated ecosystem of solutions, DIAMIND, thanks to the unique hub of technologies in traceability, inspection for quality control, and the integration of data management.
Antares Vision Group is present in more than 60 countries, has over 30 company sites, and more than 1,100 employees. Its consolidated turnover in 2022 was €223 million.
